The much-awaited Income-tax e-Filing portal 2.0 went live at 20:45 hrs on 7th June 2021. An important milestone to make the compliance experience more taxpayer-friendly.
In a tweet, the income-tax department has stated that the income-tax department proudly presents the new e-Filing portal http://incometax.gov.in. for the taxpayers. It has been designed with taxpayers’ convenience in mind, the portal offers features to make taxpayers e-filing experience smoother, simpler and smarter.
It expressed thanks to all for being patient with them during the transition to the new e-filing portal. The e-filing 2.0 went live at 8:45 pm today on 7th June 2021 & represents an important milestone in the constant endeavour to make the compliance experience more taxpayer-friendly.
It should be noted that the erstwhile e-filing portal was shut down from 1st June 2021 to June 6, 2021, due to the launch of the new e-filing portal.
